A channel is running when it is switched on here and its key or browser is configured. Its state is the canary's verdict; the last answer and the counts are the ledger's.

How the state is decided
A canary is a prompt asked on the channel on a schedule. In the last 48 hours a channel needs at least 3 canaries and at least 40% of them answered; below that it is quarantined and no client prompt runs on it until the canaries pass again.
Official API means the vendor's own API with its documented search; browser means a logged-out consumer surface captured by an authorised browser, never with a client's account.
Every answer carries the connector, parser and matcher versions that produced it, so a number can always be traced to the code that made it.
